Description:

«Askold-48» is a motor-sail boat and is supposed to be used as a pleasure craft for voyages on near-shore areas.

Dutch yachts of the 17-18th centuries widely built both in Western Europe countries andRussia became the vessel’s prototypes. The vessels were used for water recreation and were rich in ornament.

The hull is made of selected ship construction pine. It has single-layer clinker planking and laminated longitudinal and transverse framing.

The boat’s design includes 5 double cabins, the large lounge, the cook galley, 3 water closets supplied with shower and the sauna. The utility space includes the fore peak and the engine room.

The boat is equipped with thev120 hp inboard diesel engine.

The hull systems include the main engines system, drainage system, fresh and overboard water systems, the ventilation system and the waste water system.

The vessel steering is performed from the upper deck using the hydraulically-driven steer wheel.

The anchor handling equipment includes the manual mechanically-operated capstan, the 100 kg admiralty pattern anchor, the chain well and the anchor chain.

The vessel is equipped with the single-mastered gaff headed rig.

The ropes are made of natural fibre and synthetic ropes while the sails are made of synthetic fabric.

The hull fitting of the ropes such as blocks, (deadeyes) ram blocks etc. are antique type.

In order to improve stability while sailing, the boat is equipped with the ballast which total weight is about 6 tons.

The electrical system includes the diesel generator, two accumulator plants, lighting fittings, navigation lights and the electric service panel.

In addition to the 12V basic network, the 220V network is available.

According to the customer preferences, the boat can be equipped with the navigation facilities.
